Applications for employment as a full time police officer with the Borough of Mifflinburg are now being accepted by the Borough of Mifflinburg. A $50.00 application fee is required to apply for the position of police officer, for the Borough of Mifflinburg. These forms are available from the Mifflinburg Municipal Building, 120 North Third Street, Mifflinburg, PA 17844 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Qualified applicants must possess the following; US citizenship, minimum 18 years of age, high school diploma or equivalency certificate, full certification under Act 120 or be eligible to obtain a waiver of training within 120 days of appointment, and a valid driver’s license. Full time police officers must live within 30 road miles of the Borough of Mifflinburg within 6 months of completion of their probationary period. Completed applications must be returned to the Civil Service Commission via the Borough Office, during normal business hours, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday by 12:00 PM on March 15, 2021.
Qualified applicants will be notified at a later date with the date and time of mandatory testing which includes the following components: physical agility testing, written examination, oral examination, a background check, a medical examination (at the expense of the applicant), and a psychological examination.
